Welcome to St Paul's Church Lorrimore Square

Living God’s love in our community

St Paul’s is a friendly diverse church in the central catholic tradition of the Church of England. Our worship aims to be prayerful and lively, thoughtful and joyful, varied and spirit-filled. We value all ages and cultures; we value scripture, tradition, reason and experience. We have a long-standing tradition of social action and outreach, and we love parties.

We look forward to meeting you.

  • Harvest Festival at St Pauls
    Harvest Festival at St Pauls

We had a wonderful Harvest Festival service at St Paul's today. We collected a ton of useful foodstuffs and items for the Manna Centre displayed behind the altar. The congregation was a sea of colour as most of us wore traditional dress from our countries of origin. Bishop Michael presided by blessing our new toilets and availing us of his extensive knowledge about pumpkins ! And what looked like the beginnings of  St Paul's junior choir treated us to their song and dance rendition of "I Know Who I Am" by Sinach. We finished with an international slap up meal from a bring and share feast of every conceivable cuisine you can think of. All in all a great day and thanks to Bishop Michael and Mother Katy and everyone who made it possible. God bless!

  • Harvest Festival Sunday 4th October
    Harvest Festival Sunday 4th October

Preacher and president Bishop Michael will be presiding over our Harvest Festival Services on 4th October. There will be musical entertainment and parishioners are encouraged to arrive in  traditional dress for their country of origin. Please also bring offerings for the Manna Centre.

  • Pasley Park Fair
    Pasley Park Fair

We had a positively spiffing time at the Pasley Park Fair and managed to raise some money for Charity. In attendance were the Army Cadets, Cooltan Arts, Bee Urban and a varity of local charities and organisations. The weather held off for the duration of the Dog Competition and we managed to avoid being raided by the pudding police due to the copious number of cakes we gave away at our stall... (!)

  • Artwork produced by Children at St Paul's
Artwork produced by Children at St Paul's

Mixed media artwork produced bz the children at St Paul's inspired by the day out at Walton-on-the-Naze. We had an art competition at the end of the service and prizes were awarded to children for each of the categories they excelled in. Some of the work was amazinglz well throught through and quite elaborate with cut-outs,pop-ups and layered illustrations. Well done to all who took part!
