Welcome to St Paul's Church Lorrimore Square

Living God’s love in our community

St Paul’s is a friendly diverse church in the central catholic tradition of the Church of England. Our worship aims to be prayerful and lively, thoughtful and joyful, varied and spirit-filled. We value all ages and cultures; we value scripture, tradition, reason and experience. We have a long-standing tradition of social action and outreach, and we love parties.

We look forward to meeting you.

Thanking Mother Katy for introducing us to a new sandy beach on the church day out. A wonderful time was had by all...

The barbecue went with a bang on Sunday. The women did all the work while

the men watched and ate...!

When Katy's away the priests will play...

A Birthday on Fathers Day..

We celebrated Father's Day at St Paul's and welcomed every man in the church with a a thank you and some chocolate! David, our long term server put on a birthday spread for his son Samuel who is 10 after the service. We had a great party with great food, guiness and (some) dancing!

Former Curate returns to St Paul's

St Pauls's Church welcomed Rev Peter Varney as our guest preacher. He last visited our church 50 years ago as curate for the then Vicar Father John Pulford. It is also the 50th anniversary of his priesthood and he inspired us with stories of his adventures in Nigeria and South East Asia.

Margaret Holden our most senior church member greets Father Varney in the tea hall. They last met 50 years ago!

Knight at the end of the day

St Paul's congratulates  new Knight of the Realm Sir Simon Hughes - recognised for more than 30 years as MP for Southwark and Bermondsey.

He is now obliged to buckle his shoes and carry a lance while availing himself of the best tables in the local restaurants....
