Welcome to St Paul's Church Lorrimore Square

Living God’s love in our community

St Paul’s is a friendly diverse church in the central catholic tradition of the Church of England. Our worship aims to be prayerful and lively, thoughtful and joyful, varied and spirit-filled. We value all ages and cultures; we value scripture, tradition, reason and experience. We have a long-standing tradition of social action and outreach, and we love parties.

We look forward to meeting you.

  • Boogie at the Barbe..!
    Boogie at the Barbe..!

Ain't no one can boogie like St Paul's at the barbe! This year we decided the men would do cooking so I put on my Australian Barbecue shirt ... and cooked absoluely zilch! I ate plenty though. And danced like Fred Travolta and John Astaire! Great weather and fun company. Just the thing after the Sunday service. Mother Katy heads off to Zimbabwe Sunday night. Our love and our prayers go with her.

  • Summer Tea at the Lorrimore Cafe
Summer Tea at the Lorrimore Cafe

The Lorrimore Cafe went off to a stormin start on Tuesday with clear skies and beautiful weather on a lovely Summer morning. Scenes were so idylic we could have filmed an episode of Pride and Prejudice! Mother Katy provided the elegant China ware while we addressed each other in clipped English accents and offered the Vicars Present from St Wilfred's Catholic Church, plenty of tea! We also managed to raise £150 for the Pecan and Southwark Foodbanks.

Calling bakers - Could you bake a cake for this event?

  • Pilgrimage to Canterbury Cathedral
    Pilgrimage to Canterbury Cathedral

We had an amazing day at the London to Canterbury pilgramage, led by Bishop Michael as his last act as the Bishop fo Woolwich and his first as the Bishop of Litchfield. We had a Service on the coach led by Father Patrick. A Pilgramage to the catherdal in splended weather and georgous scenery as we made our way up the hill and into the cathedral grounds. A service at the catherdal itself lead by Bishop Michael followed by a guided tour by Father Robert Papadouplous at the tomb of St Thomas Becket.  A delightful lunch and then Evensong at the main chapel song by an absolutely magical choir! All in all a wonderful day!

We all had a smashing time celebrating with lovely food cookd by Lara our resident chef. Many embarrasing speeches, plenty of wine and a chocolate teapot
