The weather held out for us for a day of fun on the beach, at the pier and around the town of Walton. This is our third year and it was a wonderful as ever. Nearly 100 of us wore our distinctive red shirts. It must have looked like a beach town invasion!
Music Managers Barry and Tony Knight said a poignant and celebratory farewell to their Mother Clarabelle on Saturday 22nd July who lived to just one month shy of her 91st birthday. A veteran of St Paul's and Walworth Road she brought up three sons who went on to make their names in music and boxing. Guests wore purple shirts, scarfes, ties and skirts. The smell of lavender filled the air in a wonderful service of music and eulogies supported by a family of friends like Ronan Keating and Myleen Klass, plus a bevy woth Walwortians old and new. They put on a show of sound and vision, tears and laughter, God bless you Mrs Knight, you will be sorely missed.
... who were married here 50 years ago with a Naval wedding. They have come all the way from the USA to celebrate their anniversary and we all wish them a wonderful day!
