Carroty Wood Summer Camp

20th – 22nd August

The churches in Southwark and Newington Deanery are offering a Youth Summer Camp for young people aged 10-18.

The cap will take place at a Christian activity centre Carroty Wood. It will be time away from the city in the beautiful Kent countryside where there will be opportunities to play, pray and have fun with others

100 years of youth work has meant that lots of things have changed and evolved over time but the one thing that has remained the same is the positive impact outdoor adventure has on the life of a young person. Whether you bring your group away for a day, a weekend, or longer, it’s great to see them taking on new challenges, spending time away from home and conquering their fears in a safe and affirming environment.  You will see your young people’s confidence grow in a way that is not always possible in their normal environment and they will form friendships that can last a lifetime.

They’ll have fun in the outdoors, running around in wide open spaces in the countryside, paddling in lakes and getting wet and muddy. There will be lots of laughter and plenty of high fives, and without even knowing it, they will discover more about their own capabilities, find their voice and learn how to make positive choices. In fact they will acquire skills that will help take them through life.
