Feast of Ascension Day 2

Dear all. On this the second day of our novena of prayer we pray for the persecuted church in Syria. As we pray for Syria let us also pray for its neighbour Israel. The ongoing conflict between the Israelis and Palestinians is once again becoming increasingly destructive and deadly. Peace seems so distant but we know that with the Lord all things are possible so let’s pray without ceasing as St Paul encourages us to do. Please pray too for the safety of Bishop Christopher who is in the Holy Land for yesterday’s installation of Hosam Naoum as the Archbishop of Jerusalem.
